Dementia

Dementia is a severe loss of general mental ability (memory loss). It can be static, as a result of a single general brain injury, or progressive, resulting in long-term cognitive decline due to damage or disease of the body.
The most common early signs of dementia are:
a) changes in behavior: apathy, isolation, reduction of activities, self-neglect and
b) memory disorder: difficulty remembering recent events.

Your mother is a person who showed the first symptoms of dementia. Following the prompting of the doctor who took care of her, you take her to the particular nursing home that is reputed to be one of the best in the area.
